The Passing of the Torch
Last year's Lore Con was our best yet in every way and we want to thank everyone who helped make it happen. However, times have changed and people have moved on. So now Northeast Wars, the original Burlington area gaming convention, has risen from its ten year slumber to retake its mantle.
Brought to you by the hard-working folks at Quarterstaff Games in Burlington, Northeast Wars is less than two months away. It runs from April 4th to the 6th, so surf on over to their website now. Sign up to attend, run some games, or work as a convention volunteer. They have some very nice deals going at the moment for volunteers.
So go forth and play games this spring, everyone. The Burlington gaming community has seen a huge resurgence in the past few years. Take advantage of it!

Entering the Last Leg of the Journey
Well, the gaming schedule for Lore Con is more or less set. Our pre-reg book is currently in layout. We hope to start mailing copies out to stores and clubs before the end of the month, as well as make a PDF version available for download and distribution.
We had a lot of stuff show up over the past couple weeks, so here's the big news:
- Dr. Nik and Rod Sheldon of Carnage Gaming are joining us for Lore Con 3. We're happy to welcome Rod back to Lore Con and pleased Dr. Nik is joining us for the first time.
- We have a Warhammer 40k tournament on Sunday afternoon, with all-new terrain being built especially for the event by Aaron Richards.
- Almighty Sam of Quarterstaff Games has organized three Magic: the Gathering tournaments for the weekend.
- Video gaming makes its triumphant return to Lore Con, not only with the open play that was so missed last year, but tournaments and special import titles you can't buy in America.
There's lots more to check out on www.lorecon.com

Mega Mondo Update
It's an update of such epic proportions, I couldn't possibly list it all here without suffering irreparable harm to the typing centers of my fingers.
Suffice to say, Lore Con 3 now has Magic: the Gathering
tournaments, more Euro board games and video games galore, both open play and tournaments.
It's all at www.lorecon.com

Lore Con Presents Munchkin Impossible
This Saturday, January 27th, come help Lore Con celebrate the launch of Steve Jackson Games' latest work, Munchkin Impossible
The Munchkins are now spies . . . eliminating the opposition, playing with self-destructing gadgets, and changing loyalties even faster than they change hats.
Be a Playboy, Tourist, or Assassin. Report to the Americans, Russians, British, or Chinese (it'll change!). Wield gadgets from the subtle Cigarette Dart Gun to the amazingly unsubtle Bazooka with Incendiary Ammo. Eliminate foes, from the pathetic Defective Defector, through the Interro-Gator and the Not So Secret Police, up to the mighty Super Spy himself. And (all together now) . . . Take Their Stuff!
Along with Munchkin Impossible, an official Man in Black from Steve Jackson Games will have a bevvy of their other offerings on hand.
The festivities take place at Quarterstaff Games, upstairs at 151 Church St, in downtown Burlington, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.www.lorecon.com

Lore Con Presents A Day of Steve Jackson Games
On Saturday, September 30th, your friendly local gaming convention brings you a day of fun with a bevy of games published by Steve Jackson Games
. It's a slack attack of revolutionaries in the new card game, Chez Guevara
. Come mix it up with the powergaming hilarity of Munchkin
and its off-the-wall siblings. You could even take on the role of a mob boss in your bid for domination of the underworld in Illuminati: Crime Lords
Hosted by Quarterstaff Games and orchestrated by two of Steve Jackson Games' official Man in Black representatives, this promises to be a day of fun games, bad puns and free giveaways.
